Game-night tools

What you need

Palworld on a supported PC/system; internet for online worlds, and a server/invite arrangement for cooperative play

Set up the game

  1. Create a world and read its difficulty and death-penalty settings. For a first session use a solo world or trusted cooperative host rather than assuming every public server has the same rules.
  2. Open the controls and Survival Guide. Follow the installed tutorial; recipes, limits and bindings can change with updates or custom settings.

If you play on PC for long stretches, a comfortable mouse or headset makes a real difference. Razer's accessory range is one place to compare options; check platform compatibility first. (Affiliate link: we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How links work.)

Playing Palworld

  1. Collect fallen wood and stone, then unlock and craft basic tools and a workbench as the tutorial directs. Watch hunger, health and temperature while gathering.
  2. Make Pal Spheres and weaken a suitable low-level wild Pal without defeating it. Aim and throw a Sphere; capture is a chance, not a guaranteed reward for hitting.
  3. Build a Palbox on usable ground to establish a base. Place facilities within its working area and assign appropriate Pals to tasks they can perform.
  4. Provide food, beds and recovery facilities. Check hunger and sanity rather than treating workers as maintenance-free machines. Store materials and repair gear before a longer trip.
  5. Use experience and Technology Points to unlock useful equipment, explore new areas and challenge appropriate bosses. Your world’s goals and settings govern progress; this introduction does not claim that every objective or endgame update is completed by one boss.

Diagnose a stopped production line

Your campfire is ready but nothing cooks. First confirm an actual recipe is queued and ingredients are available. Then check whether a Pal with the required fire-related suitability is assigned, can reach the station and is not incapacitated or in need of care. Solving that specific obstruction is more useful than repeatedly building identical campfires.

Keep tutorial quantities tied to your build

The official publisher pages explain the survival, capturing and automation loop but are not a complete recipe manual. The linked community archive reproduces in-game guide text. It supports the core instructions here; exact catch bonuses, level caps and recipes are not asserted as fixed. Compare the live interface before following an old numerical farming shortcut.

Beginner decisions

  • Leave walking space around facilities. When production stalls, check access, materials and whether an assigned Pal has the relevant work skill before replacing your whole base.
  • Before an expedition, set a return plan and keep food and usable equipment. Bringing every material with you creates unnecessary recovery risk if your world drops inventory on death.

Common rule mix-ups

  • Defeating the Pal you intended to capture.
  • Buying many technology unlocks without checking which materials and workstations you can currently supply.

Questions about this game

Can I play alone?

Yes. The publisher lists single-player and online cooperation. Multiplayer capacity depends on the hosting mode.

Will all Pals do every base job?

No. Species have different work capabilities; inspect suitability rather than assigning a random worker and assuming the job will happen.

Sources and edition notes

Palworld PC core Survival introduction, 1.0-era public documentation reviewed October 2026. Numeric recipes, exact button bindings and server settings are deliberately left to the installed build.

Sources and stated format checked October 14, 2026. This records a document check, not a claim of hands-on testing.
